Breast implant revision is any repeat operation on augmented or reconstructed breasts: replacing old or ruptured implants, changing size, removing a tight scar capsule, or correcting implants that have dropped, shifted or show rippling.

It can restore softness, symmetry and position. Revision tissue is thinner and scarred, so results are less predictable than first-time surgery and the chance of needing a further operation is higher.
