RF microneedling combines fine needles with radiofrequency energy delivered from their tips, heating the deeper skin to tighten it and stimulate more collagen than needling alone.
Devices such as Morpheus8, Genius, Potenza and Secret RF work on this principle. It gives moderate tightening and better texture with little downtime, but it does not replace a facelift.
What RF Microneedling involves
After strong numbing cream, sometimes with additional pain relief, a handpiece stamps an array of insulated needles into the skin at a set depth, from about one to four millimetres on the face and deeper on the body. Each pulse delivers radiofrequency heat at the tips, sparing the surface. Several passes are made at different depths.
