How It Works
A low-dose CT with bowel preparation reconstructs a 3D view of the colon in about 15 minutes, without sedation.
The Trade-offs
Good at detecting larger polyps; less sensitive for small flat ones; if anything is found, a conventional colonoscopy follows anyway. It also involves radiation.
Who Might Choose It
