Individual therapy is one-to-one psychological treatment with a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist, normally in weekly sessions of about 50 minutes. You and the therapist agree what you want to change and use a defined method to work towards it.
Talking therapies are effective for depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder and many other difficulties, often as effective as medication and with longer lasting benefit. They take effort between sessions, results build over weeks, and the fit between you and the therapist matters a great deal.

Travelling to Türkiye for this care
Therapy works through regular sessions over weeks or months, so it is not a reason to fly somewhere for a few days. It is relevant if you live in Türkiye or are here for a long stay and want a therapist working in your language, or as online sessions where professional rules in your country allow. A single assessment and second opinion during a visit is possible. Crises, severe depression and psychosis need care where you live.
Send your reports, scans and a short history and a Clinic-Y coordinator replies within 24 hours with suitable teams and written, all-inclusive proposals side by side. Reviewing your case is free.
الأسئلة المتكررة
How many sessions will I need?
For common problems 8 to 20 weekly sessions is typical. Long-standing difficulties may need longer.
Therapy or medication?
For mild to moderate depression and anxiety either can work; for severe depression the combination is usually better. A psychiatrist can advise.
How do I know the therapist is qualified?
Ask about their degree, clinical training, the method they use and their supervision arrangements. The title psychotherapist is not equally protected everywhere.
What if I do not get on with the therapist?
Say so. If it does not improve, changing therapist is reasonable and common.
