A lip flip uses a few units of botulinum toxin along the border of the upper lip to relax the muscle that curls it inwards, so a little more of the pink lip shows, especially when smiling.
It adds no volume. The change is subtle and short-lived, which makes it a gentle first step for people who are unsure about filler, or an addition to it.

The doctor places two to four tiny injections, usually four to eight units in total, just above the border of the upper lip and sometimes at the corners. The relaxed muscle lets the lip roll slightly outwards.
